AI Sheet Break Prediction

AI analyzes data derived from LWIR and visual cameras to establish the relationship between the forces exerted on the paper, paper defects, and sheet breaks

In case of sheet breaks, AI seeks to predict sheet breaks caused by paper being not strong enough to withstand forces exerted by the process:

      • a wet/weak spot in a paper web can turn into a hole or an edge crack, depending on the spot location,
      • defect-free paper web can break when subjected to excessive forces,
      • a combination of wet spots and excessive forces results in a high probability of a sheet break.
