Image-derived properties of industrial process and equipment
Technology
- Pixels that enclapsulate motion of interest are extracted from video to build a time-based diagram
- The diagram is then processed with standard image processing methods to extract edges that define process movement over time
- The extracted waveform is processed with FFT to calculate frequencies and amplitudes
Applications
- Any industrial process involving motion and/or changes in shape, temperature, and surface pattern or color
- Process validation and detection of out-of-spec conditions by comparing process diagrams with the master diagram representing perfect process
- Process amplitudes and frequencies monitoring, thresholding and alarming (similar to vibration monitoring)
